This has been one of the biggest micro trends of the season: you can't move for a trench coat; a jumper; a jacket ... + leather sleeves. And it looks pretty cool. You don't even need a dolla to embrace this though, which makes it one of the easiest trends to nail: simply layer your fave leather biker with a sleeveless knit or a denim waistcoat and Bob is your oh so trendy uncle. DIY fashion at its most simple. Check it out (with my sincerest apologies for the grainy photos from my Blackberry!)

Polka Dotty
Yes the polka dot print is back in style especially for Autumn Winter 2011 - thank you Marc Jacobs! However it's already been creeping in for Spring Summer ... surely the best concoction when it comes to the spotty confections is the classic combination of black and white. The best thing about polka dots is that you can go super-crazy or super-cute. Wear it Now!!! Loves it!

And another little Topshop number ... oh yes ... too cute ...

Beyond the Valley
Fashion is having what I would like to call a Valley of the Dolls moment. Was the stark minimalism of Autumn/Winter everything we hoped it would be? Fuss-free easy dressing? No. It was too much like hard work set against a neutral background, and as a result, the SS 11 collections erupted like a volcano that had been simmering quietly for a few seasons. I think it is one of the most exciting seasons that we have had for a while: all rainbow brights; eclectic prints and high octane 70s glamour! Think of diving down a rabbit hole into a new, technicolour world. So much to soak up and look forward to - especially during bleak and frustrating January. I can hardly wait.
